Privacy Policy for AkiMuzika apps
Effective date: April 30, 2026
AkiMuzika ("AkiMuzika," "we," "our," or "us"), a brand of Aleks Enterprises LLC, respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information our apps handle, how it is used, and what choices you have. It applies to all AkiMuzika iOS apps, including AKI Drum Machine and AKI Stage Reader, and to any future apps released under the AkiMuzika brand.
1. Information our apps handle
AkiMuzika apps are designed to work primarily on your device. Depending on which app you use, the following content may be stored locally on your iPhone or iPad:
AKI Drum Machine
- MIDI files you import
- SoundFont (.sf2) files you import
- Per-style sound assignments and volume settings
- MIDI Learn assignments and MIDI configuration
- Local app log files for troubleshooting
AKI Stage Reader
- PDF documents you import
- Library organization (folders, sets, tabs)
- Bookmarks and reading position
- MIDI Learn assignments and MIDI configuration
- Pedal mappings
- Display and appearance preferences
2. How our apps use this information
AkiMuzika apps use locally stored information to:
- play and display the content you import
- remember your settings, preferences, and assignments
- support MIDI input, MIDI output, and MIDI Learn
- support pedal control where applicable
- support troubleshooting through local device logs
3. Data collection and sharing
AkiMuzika does not sell your personal information.
AkiMuzika apps do not use your imported files or locally stored settings for advertising. Our apps do not require account creation and do not include in-app social features.
Apple may collect anonymized usage and crash data as described in Apple's own privacy policy. AkiMuzika does not add any additional analytics, tracking, or third-party SDKs.
4. MIDI, Bluetooth MIDI, and connected devices
Where supported (currently AKI Drum Machine and AKI Stage Reader), our apps can send and/or receive MIDI data to and from:
- connected hardware MIDI devices
- virtual MIDI connections
- Bluetooth MIDI devices
MIDI communication is used only for music and control functionality, such as playback, MIDI input, MIDI output, and MIDI Learn.
5. Multi-device sync (AKI Stage Reader)
AKI Stage Reader includes optional multi-device sync that lets a leader iPad share its current setlist and page with one or more follower iPads on the same local network. Sync uses Apple's Multipeer Connectivity framework over local Wi-Fi or peer-to-peer Wi-Fi.
When you use sync:
- Your device's name (as set in iOS Settings) is visible to other devices on the same local sync session
- The PDF files you choose to share, plus your current page and setlist position, are transmitted directly between devices
- No sync data is sent to AkiMuzika or any third-party server
- Sync data is not retained by the app between sessions beyond your own device's local storage
6. Files and on-device storage
Imported files are stored locally on your device in each app's document storage so you can manage and reuse them. You may also be able to manage app files through the Files app, depending on your device and system setup.
7. Support communications
If you contact us directly by email or through a support channel, we may receive the information you choose to provide, such as:
- your name
- your email address
- the contents of your message
- any files, screenshots, or details you send for support purposes
We use that information only to respond to your inquiry and provide support.
8. Email communications
You may choose to provide your email address to receive updates about AkiMuzika apps, such as new features, style releases, or product news. Providing your email is entirely optional and is not required to use any of our apps.
If you opt in, your email address will be stored securely and used only for AkiMuzika communications. You may unsubscribe at any time using the link provided in each email.
We will not sell, rent, or share your email address with third parties for marketing purposes.
9. Data retention
Locally stored app files and settings remain on your device until you delete them from within the app or remove the app from your device.
Support emails or support records may be retained only as long as reasonably necessary to respond to your request and maintain support history.
10. Children's privacy
AkiMuzika apps are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children through our apps.
11. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date above.
