AKI Drum Machine (“AKI,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) respects your privacy.

This Privacy Policy explains what information AKI Drum Machine handles, how it is used, and what choices you have.

1. Information AKI Drum Machine Handles

AKI Drum Machine is designed to work primarily on your device.

The app may store the following content locally on your iPhone or iPad:

- MIDI files you import into the app

- SoundFont (.sf2) files you import into the app

- Per-style sound assignment files

- Per-style volume settings

- MIDI Learn assignments and related MIDI configuration

- Local app log files created on your device for troubleshooting or testing

2. How the App Uses This Information

AKI Drum Machine uses locally stored information to:

- load and play imported MIDI drum styles

- assign and recall drum and percussion sounds

- remember style-specific settings

- remember MIDI Learn assignments and MIDI routing preferences

- support troubleshooting through local device logs

3. Data Collection and Sharing

AKI Drum Machine does not sell your personal information.

AKI Drum Machine does not use your imported MIDI files, imported sound files, or locally stored settings for advertising.

Based on the current version of the app, AKI Drum Machine does not require user account creation and does not provide in-app social features.

Apple may collect anonymized usage and crash data as described in Apple's own privacy policy. AKI Drum Machine does not add any additional analytics, tracking, or third-party SDKs.

4. MIDI, Bluetooth MIDI, and Connected Devices

AKI Drum Machine can send and receive MIDI data to and from:

- connected hardware MIDI devices

- virtual MIDI connections

- Bluetooth MIDI devices

This MIDI communication is used only for the app’s music and control functionality, such as playback, MIDI input, MIDI output, and MIDI Learn.

5. Files and On-Device Storage

Imported files are stored locally on your device in the app’s document storage so you can manage and reuse them.

You may also be able to manage app files through the Files app or Finder, depending on your device and system setup.

6. Support Communications

If you contact us directly by email or through a support channel, we may receive the information you choose to provide, such as:

- your name

- your email address

- the contents of your message

- any files, screenshots, or details you send for support purposes

We use that information only to respond to your inquiry and provide support.

7. Email Communications

You may choose to provide your email address to receive updates about AKI Drum Machine,

such as new features, style releases, or product news. Providing your email is entirely

optional and is not required to use the app.

If you opt in, your email address will be stored securely and used only for AKI Drum Machine

communications. You may unsubscribe at any time using the link provided in each email.

We will not sell, rent, or share your email address with third parties for marketing purposes.

8. Data Retention

Locally stored app files and settings remain on your device until you delete them, delete them from within the app, or remove the app from your device.

Support emails or support records may be retained only as long as reasonably necessary to respond to your request and maintain support history.

9. Children’s Privacy

AKI Drum Machine is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children through the app.

10. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date above.
